This Privacy Policy aims to inform you about the processing of your personal data by Hevit GmbH.
Unless stated otherwise below, providing your personal data is not legally or contractually required nor necessary for contract conclusion. You are not obliged to provide this data, and failure to do so has no consequences.
This Privacy Policy pertains to personal data, which includes details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable individual. A person is considered identifiable if they can be identified directly or indirectly, particularly by association with identifiers such as names, ID numbers, location data, online identifiers (e.g., cookies), or one or more characteristics unique to that individual. These details may include information allowing conclusions about your identity or that of the data recipient (such as name, date of birth, mailing address, email address, IP address, or phone number).
Processing includes collection, use, retrieval, and deletion of personal data. All processing is carried out only with sufficient legal basis, such as legal authorization or your consent.

1. Visiting Our Website
You may visit our website without explicitly providing personal data. Each time you access our website, usage data is transmitted by your internet browser and stored in server log files (also known as server log files). Stored data includes, for example, the name of the page accessed, the date and time of access, the amount of data transmitted, and the requesting provider. This data serves solely to ensure the smooth operation of our website and to improve our offerings. It is impossible to link this data to a specific person. The legal basis for processing is our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
2. Contacting Us
You may contact us via phone, email, or our contact form. When doing so, we collect the personal data you voluntarily provide (such as your name, email address, phone number, message, or message content). This data processing serves the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
When using our contact form, we use the service provider Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Rosental 7, c/o Mindspace, 80331 Munich, Germany ("Cloudflare"), to ensure security, particularly to prevent automated queries. We have entered into a data processing agreement with Cloudflare.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if it serves the initiation of a contractual relationship. Otherwise, we have a legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in continuing a conversation initiated by you and responding to your inquiry. Data is stored for the duration of handling your inquiry and then deleted following our deletion routine, considering a three-year retention period for contract-related inquiries and any other special retention obligations.
3. Creating a Customer Account
When opening a customer account, we collect the following personal data: title, first and last name, email address, and phone number. You may add shipping and billing addresses in your customer account. Additionally, your orders and invoices are stored in your account. This data processing serves to improve your shopping experience and simplify order processing.
The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by notifying us without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on your consent before its withdrawal. Your customer account will be deleted within seven days. Please note that you can download your invoices, which will no longer be available after deleting the account.
4. Ordering and Processing Your Data
When ordering, we only collect and use personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill and process your order and respond to your inquiries. Data provision is required for contract conclusion. Failure to provide data results in no contract being concluded. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We will not share your data with third parties without your express consent, except for our service partners who we need for contract fulfillment and/or service providers we employ for processing (collectively "Recipients").
a. Sharing Personal Data with Shipping Companies
For delivery by our logistics partners "UPS" (United Parcel Service Deutschland Inc. & Co. OHG, Görlitzer Straße 1, 41460 Neuss, Germany) or "DHL" (DHL Paket GmbH, Sträßchensweg 10; 53113 Bonn, Germany), we forward your address data and, with your consent, email address for arranging a delivery appointment and/or tracking notifications in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Additionally, your phone number is shared to facilitate delivery if necessary.
The consent may be withdrawn anytime by contacting the data controller or the logistics partners. However, without it, arranging a delivery appointment or receiving status notifications may not be possible.
b. Warehousing and Inventory Management
For order processing, we use an inventory management system and warehousing software. Your personal data collected during the order process is transferred to SPF GmbH Systemberatung, Augustinusstr. 9a, 50226 Frechen-Königsdorf, Germany, and interSales AG Internet Commerce, Weinsbergstr. 190, 50825 Köln, Germany, under a data processing agreement.
c. Email Marketing and Newsletter
If you consent, we may use your email address for marketing purposes, including newsletters, to inform you about offers and company updates. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, and you may withdraw your consent at any time by following the link provided in our emails or contacting us directly. Following the withdrawal, your email address is removed from our list.
